May 14, 2008, the Harristown Fire Protection District's Boat #347 was dispatched to Logan County to assist in a search for a missing person in the Salt Creek River, located just south of Lincoln, Illinois.  Harristown F.P.D. along with two Divers from Decatur Fire Department were on scene for several hours performing searches along the river banks.  South Wheatland also responded with their Gator to assist with Ground Searches.
